CourTex Construction recently completed a major tennis court resurfacing project for Flour Bluff Independent School District in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The renovated courts now provide Flour Bluff students, coaches, visiting teams, and community members with an upgraded playing surface designed to support daily practices, competitive matches, tournaments, tennis, and recreational pickleball.
School tennis courts experience demanding use throughout the year. They must support daily practices, home matches, tournaments, physical education programs, and community recreation while continuing to provide dependable traction, consistent ball response, and clear court markings.
CourTex approached the Flour Bluff ISD tennis court resurfacing project with those long-term demands in mind. The completed courts provide student-athletes with a clean, professional playing environment while helping the district protect its investment for years to come.
The improved facility will also help Flour Bluff continue hosting tournaments that bring visiting athletes, families, coaches, and spectators to the Corpus Christi area.
The newly resurfaced courts serve more than Flour Bluff’s school athletic programs. When they are not reserved for district activities, the facilities are also available to members of the community for tennis and pickleball.
The project includes updated light-blue pickleball lines that provide improved visibility while maintaining a clean appearance across the tennis courts. \Local pickleball players have already shared positive feedback about the updated line color and overall playing experience.
This multi-use approach allows Flour Bluff ISD to support its competitive tennis program while providing families, military families, and community members with additional opportunities to stay active.
Completed as part of Flour Bluff ISD’s Bond 2025 improvements, the resurfacing project represents an investment in student-athletes, district facilities, and the broader community.
